Our Story
Sharing the Beauty of Pearls
La Perle began its journey over 20 years ago in New Zealand, inspired by a mission to make high-quality pearl jewellery accessible to all. As a family-owned business, we were driven by a passion for these timeless gems and a desire to bring their beauty to a wider audience. At the time, finding exquisite pearl jewellery locally was nearly impossible, and we knew there had to be a better way.
From our humble beginnings in New Zealand, La Perle has grown into a trusted name in the pearl jewellery industry. Today, we are proud to operate three stores: two in New Zealand (Auckland and Queenstown) and one in Sydney, Australia, while expanding our reputation to Asia and Europe.
Our History
2000s
La Perle founded in New Zealand at The Strand, Parnell, offering exclusive, high-quality pearls via wholesale and appointments.
2016
La Perle opened a store in Queenstown, expanding its presence and bringing exquisite pearls to a new audience.
2019
La Perle relocated from Parnell to a prominent Newmarket location, expanding its reach in the New Zealand market.
2024
La Perle opened its first Australian flagship store in the prestigious QVB, Sydney, marking international expansion.
2025
La Perle will move from Newmarket to a larger store in Westfield Mall, enhancing accessibility and customer experience.
